Welcome back, music students!
This year promises to be a great one. There's a lot happening in the music department, and I am very excited to be making music with you for my second year here at Wachusett.
To my choirs: We'll jump right in to our old routines soon enough, but I am looking forward to getting to know you all better. I've been working with your officers, and we have some new plans in the works... You will see!
To my piano people: Welcome to the world of piano. I have a lot of fun in piano class, and my hope is that you will too. My goal is for you to gain a new appreciation for music making and enjoy the learning process with your peers.
To my fundies kids: We have a great class this year! I hope you are all ready to dig into some music theory, history, and *cough cough* singing! :)
NEW this year is a class called Exploring World Cultures Through Music. I'll be offering this semester-long course in the spring, so if you're interested or have questions, feel free to reach out!
I think that's enough for now. See you in a few short days,
I would like to both welcome you to a new school year and introduce myself! My name is Ms. Roy, and this is my first year at Wachusett. I am very excited to be here and to have the opportunity to work with you all. I have been teaching music for several years now, and have worked with students at the elementary, middle school, high school, and even collegiate levels. Over the past few years, I've had the opportunity to work in Miami, Poland, and New Jersey... But I'm very excited to be making music back in my home state of Massachusetts! I love choir, piano, and music theory, but I also enjoy jazz, playing the trombone, and songwriting as well. Feel free to stop by and introduce yourself - I look forward to getting to know all of you very soon!
Yours in music,
Ms. Megan Roy
